Jothi Purushotaman was named President, UTC India, in May 2009. Jothi previously served as UTC’s Vice President, Operations, overseeing the corporation's global supply management, manufacturing and quality functions. As President, UTC India, Jothi will support the expansion of UTC’s market presence in India. Jothi will also retain responsibility for UTC’s global strategic sourcing initiatives.

Purushotaman joined UTC in 1974. During more than 30 years with UTC, his tenure has included positions at Otis spanning 16 years, three years at Carrier and 12 years at Pratt & Whitney. While at Pratt & Whitney, Purushotaman began serving as Vice President, Controller, in 1993 and became Senior Vice President, Finance, in 1996.
