Didier Michaud-Daniel was named president of Otis Elevator Company on May 12, 2008.

Prior to this position, Michaud-Daniel served as president of Otis’ United Kingdom and Central Europe Area, responsible for the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and other Central European countries, a position he held since August 2004.

From September 2001 through August 2004, he was managing director, Otis United Kingdom and Ireland, after 20 years of service with Otis France.

Michaud-Daniel's career at Otis began in 1981 in service sales, progressing into sales, branch and field support management. In 1991, he was appointed field operations director for Otis France and, in 1992, was promoted to the position of Paris field and sales operations director. He was named deputy general manager, operations in January 1998.

Michaud-Daniel is a graduate of the Ecole Superieure de Commerce with a degree in business management and is also a management graduate of INSEAD.
